How much are Tokyo area international schools raising their fees for 2026-2027?
With most schools now publishing fees for the 2026-2027 school year (notably absent: the British School in Tokyo), we can look at how the tuition landscape is shifting. Of course, the name of the game for most schools is tuition increases. While most schools landed in a 4-6% increase, some schools are reaching much higher – increasing fees as much as 14%! Let’s take a look at a few statistics and then the complete list is below. We’ll publish our fully updated Tokyo area international school comparison soon, but for now, you can always review the 2025-2026 version.
